Borne aloft by gentle winds, oh the bird journeys on, as yonder horizon gleams.
The deep blue of the sky, now it yields to the sea, as waves sway us into dreams.
The buds burst into bloom, and they sing all the while, the wheel of life turns anew.
The light that guards us guides us through darkest of night, Its smile bright as sun blazes through.

If you'd just close your eyes, you'd see that there are sights,
That though day follows night, still they don't fade from view.
And in most every one, you're there, and that is why for me,
Those days will stay, they'll be forever true.

Today, just like every other, the warm evening sun, she cradles the land like Mother.
The shadows of the children, they dance down the street,
